But God did call on men, in the name of his Son…saying: If ye will repent, and harden not your hearts, then will I have mercy upon you, through mine Only Begotten Son…Therefore, whosoever repenteth, and hardeneth not his heart, he shall have claim on mercy through mine Only Begotten Son, unto a remission of his sins; and these shall enter into my rest.
n my first day of my trip to Paris, I visited the Unicorn Tapestries at the Musée Cluny. I was deeply touched by references to the spiritual purity of Christ in the symbol of the unicorn. My mother taught me that the unicorn will only approach a maiden who is completely pure. Here I have replaced the visiting unicorn with another symbol of Christ, the Lamb of God.
This is an original handmade etching. It was created at the Lower East Side Printshop. The plate was created by etching the lines into a copper plate. The plate was then soaked in an acid bath, inked by hand, and run through a printing press to create a this one of a kind image. Because of the amount of hand painting and application of foil to this image, it is a 'monoprint' and each image varies.
Printed on Rives BFK 280 gsm. The paper size is 11x14".
