And I trust, according to the Spirit of God which is in me, that I shall also have joy over you; nevertheless I do not desire that my joy over you should come by the cause of so much afflictions and sorrow which I have had for the brethren at Zarahemla, for behold, my joy cometh over them after wading through much affliction and sorrow.
As a member of the church there are so many optional activities and opportunities to serve, that it’s easy to become overwhelmed by the many subtle demands of our church congregation. And when I’m depressed, even the littlest task can be debilitating. It feels like there are physical hands dragging me down to my couch.
The original is a handmade etching. It was created at the Lower East Side Printshop. The plate was created by etching the lines into a copper plate. It was then soaked in an acid bath to achieve tones, inked by hand, and run through a printing press to create a this one of a kind image. This is a 'monoprint' in that it involves hand painting as well as the etched image. Each image varies slightly.
This image was created in an edition of 8.
The paper size is 11x14".
All reproductions printed on a Canon Pro 1000 professional photographic printer.
