Awake, awake, put on thy strength, O Zion; put on thy beautiful garments, O Jerusalem, the holy city; for henceforth there shall no more come into thee the uncircumcised and the unclean.
This image is inspired by a scene in Cinderella where the mice and birds make the future princess ready for her first ball. It reminds me of my six loving sisters- they are my world. This image includes a few of them dressing me as if at the temple to prepare me for blessings to come when the Savior returns.
The original is a handmade etching. It was created at the Lower East Side Print Shop. The plate was created by etching the lines into a copper plate. The plate was then soaked in an acid bath, inked by hand, and run through a printing press to create a this one of a kind image. This etching combines aquatint, sugarlift, and spitbite techniques. Each image varies slightly.
This image was created in an edition of 8. Number, 7/8 and 8/8 are still available.
The paper size is 11x14".
Originals are printed on Rives BFK 280 gsm. All reproductions printed on thick photo-art paper with a Canon Pro 1000 professional photographic printer.
